This January 2020 paper by Anto Budiardjo wasamong a series of articles published to coincide with the second annual New Deal for Buildings Cybersecurity Summit at AHR Expo 2020. Budiardjo and the panelists merge their voices to tell the story of how cybersecurity touches buildings, from identifying components, all the way to responding and recovering following an attack. Budiardjo examines on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, with particular reference to its five core functions: identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover.  The article will be of interest to technology developers and cybersecurity professionals.
