KPMG in Canada and Canadian Construction Association (CCA) | 2025

This report surveys 265 firms to assess productivity, digital maturity, and technology adoption across Canada’s construction sector. It finds productivity at a 30-year low, hindered by regulation, labor shortages, and material costs. Yet, optimism is rising around tools like AI, BIM, robotics, and prefabrication. The report concludes that digital transformation—driven by better data use, automation, and harmonized standards—is essential to meeting Canada’s construction and housing targets.
