This report from International Energy Agency (May 2021) maps out the energy sector’s path to global energy sector by 2050. Milestones to achieve the goal are provided spanning all sectors and technologies – for what needs to happen, and when, to transform the global economy from one dominated by fossil fuels into one powered predominantly by renewable energy sources Emphasis is placed on investment, innovation, fairness, inclusivity, skilful policy, design and implementation, technology deployment, infrastructure building, and international co‐operation.
